  1. Jeff Bezos will make Lahaina as great as he left Seattle. Full of rich and homeless people.

  2. Why would anyone ever trust a Billionaire’s word? Why?

  3. $100M is chump change to Bezos and he writes it off in tax, getting loyalty, name recognition, legacy, buying future influence.

  4. This individual doesn't offer assistance without expecting something in return. He has the potential to alleviate poverty in countries globally, but instead, he prioritizes personal gain

  5. The rich should help in these cases. After all they use it as a tax write off. I just wish I could do it. Good on you Jeff Bezos!

  6. If I had a 100mil I would create a corporation and hire a large project manager, Clear all the debris off all the property, survey the properties to draw all the boundaries. Obtain all property records, work with property owns on a rebuilding plans. But that's not the plan, the plan is to take over and corporatize the whole thing. They need "years" for people to forget.

  7. Promises are cheap…..

  8. Wealth inequality is the root of most of the problems in the world
We need economic justice and not charity
Tax the rich and more benefits for the middle class

  9. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  10. Wasn't a "Wildfire" ! No "Wildfire" Burns Hot Enough to Melt Glass and Aluminum, or Destroy Home Safes designed to Withstand Home Fires. Especially when Chinese Satallites are Recorded Over the Fire, Shooting Green Space Lasers on Lahaina !
Search, "Space Laser shoots Japanese Volcano", to see this in action…

  11. If he donated it to some of the big names like red cross they will probably take it as the employers and the managers needs a good pay too

  12. but you guys used the laser on that plane to burn down the city. now. in order to melt metal those houses, you nee an extreme high heat. what temperature to burn buildings. very high heat not from wood. like what you used in the twin towers. Laser). Thermite take your pick. once the stupid vaccinated are gone. lets see. u just have us left people don't believe your crap

  13. it went from his left pocket to his right one.

  14. N 🐦🧠 Joe rather help Ukraine than Hawaii

  15. Big surprise, Jeff is not a dogooder.. what a sack of garbage they both are!
    Inflate your lips much?
Just sickening how some people are money hoarders!!

  16. Beggars can't be choosers but also, stop announcing when people pledge money. Reward them with publicity when the pledged money gets donated to a cause.

  17. A big thank you to Jeff and his beautiful fiancé for helping out in Hawaii🙏🙏

  18. The Giver wants his funds to be managed by an organization that HE knows and TRUSTS for HIS accountability purposes. Funds will not be randomly or haphazardly dispensed to unknown entities or persons.

  19. Guess he doesn't have Prime.

  20. What about the children NBC NEWS SHAME ON YOU!

  21. Get stuffed Jim..pay your workers proper salaries

  22. It's $100M in amazon prime gift cards! 💳💰

  23. Haters will be haters. The guy is giving 100M of his hard earned money for a good cause and people keep on hating on him. Bezos, why bother? Keep your money.

  24. Didn't bezos play dr. Evil in Austin powers movies?

  25. Bezos has no obligation to donate.

  26. Lets be honest here, governments are terribly inefficient when it comes to spending. Most of donations from Bezos is not going to the Maui mayor becos he knows the mayor would put 75% of that 100m to "personal" accounts to self fund his rich life style. Only 25% go to relief agencies that the mayor hire his own friends to run.

By time maui residents get to that fund all theyll get is a bag of chips and a pin that reminds them to vote for the mayor in next election after the mayor sells off the land rights to non-native fortune 500 investors and banks.

  27. Bezos is so cheap, he only donates over many years in tiny amount

  28. It's sad because it wont make up for the damage caused. Acting with carte blanche.

  29. He's modeling his pledge & giving after how the trump charity operated. His "donations" will be used to further his own wealth, help no one, & gain publicity. He's a scoundrel.

  30. Let’s be fair “pledging” and “giving” are two separate things.

  31. If we didn't live in a plutocracy, communities would have the resources to rebuild after natural disasters; instead we have to be grateful when the robber barons of the world dole out some of their stolen riches.

  32. Only pledged! Not totally given to the affected people. 😂

  33. Let's be honest, the money will be used to relieve the previous owners of their land and "develop" it for luxury real estate. The little guy loses no matter what happens.

  34. Steal a billion, give back a hundred million

  35. 1st time Ive heard of this $100 MIl….. and I live right here
