Most people didn't read the ESG rule. They got fed the sound bites that seem reasonable to social norms, but those are complete lies. If this ESG regulation gets signed into existence, expect Diversity hires like Kamala Harris to run our energy companies. In no way should congress tell a private business who to hire! If they hire the wrong person then they risk success or bankruptcy. But to take that away from a company, they risk everything for nothing. This rule is just a way to shut down the oil industry without looking like villains.
