Well, what do we the people do when government fails us? Seems the founding fathers were weak on this point. We've already seen what police in DC did to peaceful protestors on January 6th. They attacked the protestors and created a riot! Then blamed it on Trump! Now two plus years into Biden's reign of destruction, things are getting worse. Now the question is what do we people do? This is nonsense. Federal government revenue in the first half of this fiscal year is 36% higher than 4 years ago. That is 1/2 TRILLION$ more. Yellen, Biden, and Democrats might "meltdown" but there is enough money. The spending problem? During the first half of this fiscal year . . . 1.1 TRILLION of unfunded spending and new DEBT added to the American people's lap. The outcome? Inflation and another 44 billion required in interest payments. THE DEMOCRATS ARE RUINING THE COUNTRY. McCarthy et al should agree to nothing until the budget is balanced at the current revenue levels; and that is being very generous.
If there is a default, that is the Democrats CHOICE. Key 2023 annual expenditures: 1.3 T$ for SSA, 1.5 T$ for M/M, less than 0.3T for debt interest. For 5 T$ of annual federal revenue (up more than 50% since 2016) there is enough money for what is needed. The Democrats are evil, the Republicans are inept. The country is doomed, doomed I say!

Here is the problem that Macarthy has. 1. The issue regarding with the debt limit is an issue regarding the budget that the House and Senate passed for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The debt limit is simply an issue of making sure that what the House and Senate agreed upon and funded is actually paid for by the government
2. To not pay for the budget passed by 2022-2023 congress inviolates the votes for the members of the House and Senate and abrogates the citizens power that voted for their representatives.
3. Hence by not passing the debt limit Macarthy is asserting power over the citizenry's representatives fiscal budget for the previous year. It also negates the right for citizens to vote for their representatives to create laws on their behalf.
4. The issue which Macarthy is bringing up about making cuts in the budget deals with the upcoming 2023-2024 fiscal budget not the 2022-2023 budget which passed both houses.
5. It would then appear that Macarthy and the folks in the Senate have to create a budget that both Democrats and Republicans can agree upon. That is why both the House and Senate create their budgets and then have to reconcile them.
6 Macarthy and the Republicans are trying to usurp the power of the previous congress that passed laws and a budget that passed both the House and Senate and that was passed by duly elected Representatives of Congress
7. The debt limit is essentially addressing issues of inflation that makes sure that the budget
passed by the previous and it's corresponding bills are paid in full. The President is responsible for making sure the bills are paid
8. Issues dealing with the 2023-2024 budget have nothing whatsoever to do with the debt limit.
If Macarthy and the Republicans want to lower the upcoming budget of which Macarthy is responsible for a procedure exists in which he and the House Republicans are going to have to work with the Democratic Senate and the President. Issues regarding the 2022-2023 budget or paying of the bill I believe is outside Macarthy's purview. 2:53

For any congressperson that votes to cut funding to the VA: Go get exposed to something (remnants of sarin, agent orange or burn pits) that destroys your physical and mental health for the rest of your life. Get your brain rocked by an explosion or a major backfire that causes you vestibular issues later on in life. Go get get tinnitus so bad you struggle to sleep for the rest of your life.
Take medications to help the pain that destroy your stomach lining. Go lose limbs and live with uncomfortable prosthetics.
Then not be able to get help you need because your congressperson defunded the VA. Just disgusting.
