Furthermore China threatened that export ban of those two key minerals to the U.S was just the beginnning retalitory measures. There are bunch of other mineral components China might maneuver to tame this admin as before; They're essential for EV manufacture, LED and other products. REmind me a time not long ago, when S Korea Japan relation wasn't that great as now, after S Korea's district court's unfavorable, or hostile ruling in the view against its steel manufacture company that was alleged responsible for enslaving many S Korean laborers, besides from comfort women for Japanese soldiers during its colonial periods occupying their territory. In response Japanese govt initiated similar retaliation by export banning specific chemicals and removing the trade partner from their white list that exempts certain regulatory processes, causing significant economic losses. Well we cannot cower and surrender to every intimidations.
