I worked 3 years and saved money before I went to college. I had a small loan also and paid it off. There are lots of options other than plunging yourself recklessly into debt: scholarships, summer jobs, working a couple year after high school and saving money, getting a community college degree in a field where you can work (like accounting or engineering assistant) and then getting your bachelors slowly while working, or alternating years going to college and working. This is really unjust especially to those who never went to college. This just teaches a whole generation to be irresponsible.

Make them hold it as a dormant loan AND instead of forcing the loans to reach 10 and 20 times what they owe make their only choice to take court action and attach wages! Enough of this stuff already!

Rice doesn't get an F, even that requires effort. I think in school we had grades or designations below F for failure to show up or failure to turn in work. An F was like below 60%. Rice gets a 0, a zero, a goose egg.
