Biden going to represent the USA at this event is an insult to every African American citizen. It was the British who brought slavery to these lands for over 300 years. The same European descendants of those Anglo European slavers continued slavery and segregation until the 1960's. The British represented by the monarch have never apologized for the slave trade, for the genocide of the indigenous original native aboriginal Americans from the 1600's onward and their descendants continuing the genocide into the 20th century. They have never provided reparations to the victims and their descendants like they provided to the slave holders in the United States and the Caribbean once slavery was outlawed. The Crown has never apologized for the religious persecution of peoples from Africa to Asia and from Europe to Australia. They have never atoned for the riches that built those castles and great government buildings, those jewels and wealth on the backs of millions of human slaves. The monarchy is nothing to be proud of when as an ally of these United States it fought and killed people in Africa and Asia who wanted freedom to rule themselves under democratic governments. The USA condoned those efforts and has never been accountable for those actions. So the fact Biden is even going shows straight forward hoe little the Democratic party cares for African Americans and other minority citizens. This November they will ask for your vote. But have they done anything to earn those votes? This also shows the tiny leverage African Americans have in the Democratic party. When they should stand up for something substantive they don't. The Democratic President will be exactly like the Republicans and go honor a monarch who did absolutely nothing to correct the wrongs of the past and under her watch more atrocities were committed. But white Anglo Europeans on both sides of the Atlantic will unite in solidarity to honor the last great vestige of a racist colonial empire because they are proud of that legacy. Other people's legacy such as the Spanish after Columbus are portrayed in a dark light even though that empire outlawed slavery in the 1500's and provided education and universities to every race be it white, red or black. Where the mixing of peoples was never outlawed and produced the varied peoples of Spanish speaking America. This is a misses chance by the leaders of the minorities to demand respect and say no to honoring colonizers. Saying no to people who throw words around like dominions, realms, leige lord, nobility and commons in the 21st century. A huge missed chance to start a new page in coming to terms with the sins of the British in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania.
There couldn’t be a more unfortunate symbolism of a dying standard for the west. RIP

My Great Grandma was born in England 1897, emigrated to the U.S. at age 12 and died here in 1993. She was also 96 when she passed and she absolutely loved the Queen. I loved having tea with her and talking about the old country!

Even though his time as president was before I was born. When jimmy carter does eventually pass on I will mourn his passing. unlike a privileged elite not elected or chosen by the people to be the head of a country. Jimmy Carter was chosen fairly by the people, and elected to do the job. Also jimmy carter did the best job he could do in a bad situation caused by factors beyond his control. Also he has shown himself to be a very caring decent individual.

We don’t mourn the royal family looted the world, She knows why she never acknowledged atrocities that her family inflicted on native people that Britain invaded across the world.
