That's not true. Misleading information that continues to be repeated. Hurricane Maria DID NOT kill 3000 people. Many people that died at Hospitals, Dialysis Center, and people sick at home who required support equipment to live. The failure and corruption of the give over 40 years was the one to blame. Lack of updated power grid, outdated equipment, and hospitals without power plants. How the Government for so many years receiving millions every year failed to require all the medical facilities to have an alternative for power services. The owners and those running the medical centers and treatment facilities are the ones to blame for the deaths. Not the Hurricane or the President Trump. But it's easier to blame the hurricane than having to agree with Trump that PR government was corrupt and incompetent.
Another point most Americans don't know is that since Maria very little improvement have been completed in regards to Power and water service. Throughout the year the island suffers power outages without any real reason. Water services are terrible. But both continue charging the working families like they are receiving extraordinary services. After hours of outages the power return for some reason at a higher voltage, many time damaging home appliances permanently. But the power company refuses to assume the responsibility blaming the families for having outdated appliances.
Another fact is that Hours before the Hurricane Irma arrived to the island thousands of people were already without power and water.
So please stop talking about President Trump because the failure of Puerto Rico have Puertorrican origins and ignored by multiple US administrations. Including the Obama administration.
I'm going to repeat this, STOP saying Hurricane Maria kill 3000 people, that's not accurate information. The numbers use on that study were based on statistical data from previous years. And included all deaths. It's misleading. Also, Stop blaming President Trump.
Puerto Rico government should have done a better job on inspections and ensuring hospitals and medical treatment facilities were meeting the standards. Or as an island make it a requirement to have an emergency power plant.

PR Need ambulance services sometimes and people argue about payment or not medicine to patients at the hospital or not. This is not fair to argue about money when parents and elderly need assistance specially medical in hurricane seasons.
