Because of Putin, Russians aren't civilized enough to be called Europeans. This is Putin crying because, like China, they can't offer something better to their neighbors than the West can, which begins with freedom and ends with an economy with world trade. Putin is the worst thing that ever happened to Russians. He could have cemented the idea of true democracy and brought about a free economy, but he lives in the past, like a Chinese or Korean leader, forcing the country to cater to his desires rather than serving the needs of his people. Communism truly is far more corrupt and oppressive than democracy and the Chinese, who will see what they can get away with next, live that reality.
