We don't even need title 42 Covid era emergency health protocol under Trump, Remain in Mexico or migrant protection protocol whatever you call it the name isn't important, but let me tell you, as a S Korean citizen living current in S Korea after having lived in the U.S for decades, It's unimaginable, or mindblowing to see our govt to do what Biden admin is doing with their anmnesty. One might say, S Korea traditionally and historically is a (more or less) homogeneous nation, and it's a very small size with one sixth U.S population meaning its pop density is much higher than that of America and we have less land resources and appetite for more immigrants anyway, but then Japan is similar in their approach to immigrants- let alone illegal migrants. Folks in S Korea and Japan don't want more immigration or immigrants into their nation- well is that Xenophobic and racist one might say? I don't know about that, but it's a common sense and understanable why most don't want more immigrants. These immigrants except few occasions lack skills and resources to contribute to their economy, and they'd take more jobs a,d resources that would otherwise go to the 'legal' 'native' citizens. So, as humans and rational citizens, they have less to gain from way too many immigrants crossing illegally. We know Australia has stricter border policy and immigration law than that in the U.S. The only large sized nation I can think of, with laws similar to U.S is Canada which is very big but with sparse population.
