People seem to forget , Trump was President when he got the documents , his action of removing them from the Whitehouse declassified all the documents , it has to be done this way , Presidents have classified documents with them and in their possession all the time , they have to do this , it's a part of their job . It is not a part of a vice presidents job because he doesn't have the authority to declassify any of them , he doesn't have the authority to remove them from whatever location they are at whether it's the Whitehouse or Congress or the Pentagon , and a Senator has even less rights to those documents . Trump did this while he was President , Biden took all of his Senate records and had them stashed at a University , that is not a secure location and who knows how many of them were classified , and he had no right to take those either they are the property of the U.S. Congress . When the FBI raided Mar A Lago they took a framed magazine cover with a photo of Trump on it as part of their search for classified documents , the documents that Trump was legally allowed to have ! This is the kind of B.S. the damb democrats do !
