I think it is quite absurd, why US meddling other countries which are far far away from their mainland?
If Trump is president then he will give Taiwan away to China but then trump will take bigger fish as an exchange. Maybe he will dominate southeast Asian markets. The democrats want to insist in Taiwan and that is in absolute war that the planet can not afford specially if you really concern about the global climate.🤔

The rise of the US, and its ability to stay in the #1 spot in terms of global dominance, is most admirable. But one thing many pundits failed to factor in is "whether the US had a credible opposition and competitor" during its ascendancy?
The answer is a definitive NO. The US did have a good run up to maybe a decade ago, when China begins to organize itself, politically and economically. It is economy that makes a powerful country, and China has learned that.
Now with China becoming a more credible and substantial competitor, the US just doesn't know what to do because it never has to deal with such a problem before. The Soviet Union was militarily powerful, but its economic foundation was questionable. Hence it crumbled as its economy simply couldn't sustain the military spending. As a result, the US is yet to figure out what to do with China. To-decouple, then to de-risk, then to send various important figures to China to mend the fence, and the coming trip by Shumer and co. The response to the China question is all at sea.
Put it simply, if the US is a good place to invest, those investors wouldn't be going all the way to China, would they? I hope Fox News figures that one out.
