I live close to the park and I’ve never had a issue. It’s called respect your surroundings. Especially the wildlife. Those idiots are just teaching their kids how to get hurt.

Good idea, bad idea. Selfies and close ups with lions, tigers, bears, elephants, rhinos, hippos and bison. When will these hoomans learn to respect teeth, tusks, claws, hooves and horns? I consider it a safe distance when the animal being viewed appears the size of a fly. Anything bigger means kick it into high gear.

I've been to Yellowstone several times on motorcycle & I've seen people getting close to bison & elk. It just doesn't seem to compute in their tiny minds that these animals are wild & dangerous. Thank God the kid & that man are ok. The two adults responsible need to be fined & made to pay for that man's medical bill. I think that would be the least they could do.
