The news is reporting this wrong. The aircraft, tail number 9N-ANC (as can be seen in video), was landing at the old airport in Pokhara PKR/VNPK… not the new PIA international which opened two weeks ago. By looking at Google Earth and comparing the two known videos (outside and inside aircraft) you will understand how they were going to land on Runway 22 as they came around the north side of Bhadrakali Temple (which can be seen in video out window) and a few seconds later were banking more left to fly down the airports left side for a right pattern entry to Runway 04. It's called a right hand pattern entry because your two turns to land will be a right base turn, then right turn to final approach for coming back in on runway 04 at PKR (04 is therefore 180 degrees opposite 22). They were very low and slow which means already close to stall speed. The accident / stall occurs about 1/4 of the way down the runway (on east side near rwy 22) where it then falls into the Seti Gandaki river as its flying south. It's a shame that a national news network can't spend 10 minutes online to get this as accurate as I have.
Maybe the missing others burned like a charcoal 😢😢
