Who is back?
We went to Disney World around 6 years ago. Every other ride broke down. It was HORRENDOUSLY expensive. I felt so burned. The shows on the Disney channel, which we don’t have at home so I watched them on the hotel tv, were JUNK! They were inane and had age inappropriate subjects. Worse? They were TEDIOUS. So I have no love for Disney. The stock still seems to be making money for some reason… lack of competition maybe?
The thing that surprised me was that the park was largely the same as in the 1970’s, when I saw it as a kid. No new characters or lands. The old lands had not been reworked so that the rides made sense to the next generation. My 4 year old has never and will probably never see “the Swiss Family Robinson” or many of the old movies so none of the sets made sense. The Little Mermaid ride broke down. Everything was overused and felt dated in a way that wasn’t nostalgic or “iconic”. No new imaginative updates or rides or anything. The Americana portrayed in the parks, like main street USA and Frontier Land, that used to be celebrated in film, has been destroyed by the wokeness that is being pushed in the entertainment division. The cultural references were lost on my daughter, although she was too young to understand them, at the time. Even as she’s grown older, there are no “Americana” references in film or tv shows.
GOOD SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BIGGER LOST S.B .WORKING AGAINST THE GENERATIONS OF PARENTS THAT HAVE MADE THEM LOYALY.
Hope he stops the reservation system, and starts delivery of merchandise purchases to resorts and front of the parks for guests, brings back pin trading with Cast Members, brings back Dinning Plans, brings back Magical Express transportation from airports for guests, free Fast Passes, open up Annual Passes to everyone, grocery delivery in Resorts from all Resorts to their rooms, and things I’m not even thinking of that set Disney apart from all other Parks and Resorts. I’ve worked at Disney for 6 years, and I can’t believe the changes over the years, especially since Iger left. The amount of Guest complaints I’ve heard on a daily basis about the state of Disney is unbelievable. Things need to change, and hopefully they will now.
Beware, ….do you think it's just a coincidence that we had talks with China and all the sudden Iger is back in the Picture. I recommend that Florida Leadership Keep an eye on this move.

Dagen correctly identified Disney+ losses as the earning problem for the company. However, it was Iger who originally set up that business model. If anything Chapek may have fixed it with the new ad tier coming out in December. If so, it will be Chapek who fixed the company but Iger will get credit.

No matter what, the future is going to have common factors associated with inhibitive OR motivated motions. The NWO is very alive and in a gestation state NOW.
