I am the wife of a Retired Staff Sergeant Army Combat Veteran- who saw three tours in that very land – he has PTSD ; he has a traumatic brain injury from a IED blast his last tour; he is still very much there all the way home here in Alabama many nights he wakes up and I remind him – he is home now – he didn’t believe this felt like home for a few years after he came back home ; adleast that is what he would tell me – as odd as it sounded that he felt like he needed to be there not here. I can’t understand that I won’t pretend to understand that I know I have heard the few things he has opened up about his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan- most I will never know , he will take to his grave.
But I most certainly understand that they hate me and they hate you too
