Multiple officers’ body camera footage was released showing the moments leading up to the shooting death of 28-year-old Joe Frasure Jr. Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers announced that the three officers involved in the incident will not be charged, saying they were acting in self-defense because Frasure Jr. refused to comply with orders and drove toward them.

A vehicle is a deadly weapon especially when you see the people and go backwards and forward.
Another unnecessary death by the brave blue warriors… If cops are so exemplary of warrior virtues why aren't they accountable for what they say and do? Why do they need qualified immunity? and unions w their thumbs on the process? Shouldn't they be more accountable to a higher standard rather than less accountable to a lower standard?

I don't like that a life was lost, but if the police show up with their guns drawn at you the WRONG thing to do is to try and run. Everyone loves to take the side of the criminal when there is a police involved shooting. What has this world come to?
I don't get it! Iives were not at risk, for the DA to say "the officers were incredibly brave " is to imply and instruct officers to use deadly force if an individual offends by dropping litter and drives away from officers when told to stop, that death is the deseved punishment. Madness.

These cops should not be commended for their bravery. They should be mocked for their cowardice. What happened that night is a testimony to their fear and lack of training. There's no doubt these officers had nothing to fear from a man in a minivan clearly trying to get away from them. They should be charged with attempted murder and more!
It's midnight, you just finished cleaning your dead grandmother's apartment. All you want to do is get home and sleep. You get in your car and start it up. You've a ton of emotions swirling around in your head.
Suddenly you hear yelling and see two people with flashlights heading your way. They're yelling at the same time but saying different things. Their words form a confusing jumble. "Stop, get back, the air."
It's dark, you can't see them clearly. You're tired. You don't care what they want. You're not talking to some randos at this hour. They're probably drunk, or Karens.
Then one briefly steps into the light and you think you see him holding a pistol. This just got real!
This isn't some midnight Karen, it's a thug attempting a carjacking. You smash the accelerator and flee for your life–literally.
It never crosses your mind that this could be cops. Why would it? You know you haven't done anything wrong, and a deserted parking lot is the last place you'd expect to see cops at night.
Also there are no flashing lights. No one identifies themselves as law enforcement. This is an assault or attempted carjacking.
That's the only conclusion that makes sense. This was a terrified man fleeing from an attempted assault with a deadly weapon.
Unless there's more video that shows them clearly identifying as law enforcement, it's patently absurd to think anyone would conclude they were cops.

So now the officers won't be charged. I heard prosecutor Melissa Powers on the radio yesterday sounding much like she was ready to pounce on the officers, without adequate proof. She was stating how the van moved just a little bit, implying the shooting wasn't justified. Too bad Joe Deters left the prosecutor's office; looks like we have someone now that we really have to keep our eye on.
Even if he'd been a burglar, neither is burglary nor is failure to comply with a cop's orders a capital offense!

From what I can see the driver doesnt seem to be "aggressive" with the vehicle until after he is shot. It almost seems like he was shot then the van seemed like the gas was pressed uncontrollably after he was shot, almost as if the cops created a dangerous situation because of their behavior
Had an FBI agent run up on me one night yelling and asking for ID when I was walking into work. I didn't run, or make any threatening movements. But what I did do is tell him that I didn't know who he was, that he could be some crazy person running up on me and I asked if he had any ID I could verify him with.
He was a little irritated, but realized then and there I had every right to ask him to identify himself to me before I complied with anything he asked. Once I inspected the ID, I confirmed his identity and then identified myself. All ended well.
This is the difference between these cops and that FBI agent. The agent knew the law. He knew what my rights were. And he knew running up on me without properly identifying himself was legal cause for me to protect myself then endangering himself. Yep, I went to law school.
In every instance, if a law enforcement officer doesn't properly identify themselves, which legally means more than just a audible "we're the police" then every person in this country has a right to defend themselves until those officers provide adequate identification.
These are laws. These laws are still on the books. And, as the DA woman demonstrates, these laws are rarely enforced in favor of the very people who are supposed to be protected. Tax payers pay law enforcement bills. Pay to raise their children. Pay for their food and housing.
They've become a gang, not proper law enforcement. They should follow the laws already on the books instead of violating those laws on a daily basis.
Authorised murders
Nope when your cleaning a house and your met with guns pointed people can panic. The police should understand this with proper training. This is not a reason to discharge a weapon. Get the plates. And act professionaly. This was murder. The driver was very clearly trying to run.

A car is a lethal weapon & he used that car as a lethal weapon. Cops did the right thing and society is safer because of them.

The guy was avoiding the cops but the cops are blocking his way so they could have the reason to shoot him. How unfortunate. Well I guess no matter what action the Cops take.
