The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General released police bodycam footage of a shooting that left two Bristol police officers dead and a third injured. A suspect fired 80 rounds of ammunition using an AR-15-styled rifle before Officer Alec Iurato shot and killed him, use of deadly force the office says was justified. WVIT’s Matt Austin reports.

I’d like to know how he got off 80 rounds. In CT we have a 10 round limit on magazines, unless you bought it before the high capacity ban and have it registered. So either he had at least 3 registered pre-ban 30 round magazines and kept swapping them out, or he was unlawfully in possession of them, or he had a pile 10 round magazines he kept loading up, which really doesn’t make sense. It’s just very strange how he was able to get off that many shots before being taken down.
