I just moved a few hundred miles away from the border. I used to live 50 miles from Mexico. Saw high speed chases, had to pull over and pray. Now the high speed chases are even much worse in one area not far from where I lived, several a week. I hope my friends will be safe there. I am very glad to be farther from that dangerous area.

What do you expect from a POTUS who checks his watch during a service for the fallen US soldiers from his failed Afghanistan departure? He couldn't care less about border patrol officers either, or about national security & law enforcement. It's up to local governments and States governors now. Having always been a great admirer of the United States, it troubles me as we all witness this rapid decline in standards and values for which you were held in such high esteem. It is inconceivable to witness some low life cartel member brandishing a military grade semi-automatic assault rifle at an unarmed civilian helicopter. Under such circumstances one cannot see why a dangerous, unprovoked action should not be replied to with a short burst from a 0.50 caliber mounted machine gun, quite frankly one couldn't possibly interpret that as excessive or indeed as inappropriate. These cartel people have absolutely no regard or care for anything other than money and themselves, however it must be noted they soon reconsider their actions when the reply is accompanied up by lethal force.
