yah, it happens. Young kids don't know stuff. Bus divers don't know. This sort of thing happened in the 80s and the 90s I knew kids who got on wrong buses all the time. I thought by now parents had GPS or cell phones ir Apps or some thing to help things out.
What a mess. I would go nuts.
I’m an elementary school teacher I can tell you this happens all the time! We have had to go and find kids in other neighborhoods because they got off the bus with a group. This unfortunately is a very common occurrence at the beginning of the school year.

Aww. He’s only 6. 💕 Sure, he followed the other kids and got on a bus. Moms, have to be waiting right at the door right before school lets out, to grab their kiddies so they don’t wander off. Cute kid!

In our school district, the kids have cards they slide to get off the bus. If it doesn't register for that stop or they don't have a card. They're not allowed off the bus. My kindergartener did this his second day of school.(its scary, when your kids not where he's supposed to be.) But, they checked the cameras and called the buses. And brought him back to the school. And it happens more then you think.
And of course it’s always somebody else’s fault. Blame child and parent. He’s fine no big deal no story here.
