The judge in Dominion’s defamation lawsuit against Fox News announced that the two sides have reached a settlement on the day both parties were to begin opening statements in court. NBC News Correspondent Emilie Ikeda reports.

Shame. Dominion may have won the battle, but democracy lost. This should've gone to trial and Fox should've been forced to admit their crime on their own network at prime time. $787.5 million is too small a price to pay for dividing a nation. Not to mention, Fox will just continue to lie about other things, even more now, because they'd need to recoup their losses.
