Vivek is the best but he won't succeed. He is unknown, young, and some of the things he bought up not favorable to Republicans voters, and hurt them.
The country is split at its core because of identity. This completely governs how we look at issues. The one who can rally their base and win over swing voters will win. We need someone who is firm on the law and is compassionate about the other side. Otherwise this country will go the same way as any superpower that rose and fell. Many voters within the base are incapable of thinking out of the box and are blinded by their emotions. Its quite a tricky manouever for candidates who want to reach across the party line and requires targetted goal oriented strategy.
