BREAKING: First photos released of recovered Titan submersible wreckage

The first photos were released of the pieces from the Titan submersible wreckage more than a week after a “catastrophic implosion” killed all five passengers on board. NBC News’ Ron Allen reports on what parts were recovered and what the U.S. Coast Guard will focus on in its investigation of the accident.

  1. Where are the bodies?

  2. That was the 13th dive. Guess the old wives tale is true.

  3. What a waist of news. They dead and rich, let's move on to other news

  4. bruh… why you gotta blink so much

  5. Operated in International waters, but made in USA, right? We should set this right.
No more playing around with people's lives (including his own).

  6. Everything should be stamped with a ID number like a VIN for DPS and highway authority

  7. May I know some?
    Did they found BLACK BOX?
Why all the authority didn't sent that ROBOTIC DEVICE in very first place as soon as they heard about loosing connection with the mother ship & the tiny capsule?
    Thanks.
    😢

  8. Criminal actions he's dead

  9. It’s insane to think the hull must’ve shattered like a shellac 78 rpm record

  10. Why was everything covered sheets

  11. Why are people more fascinated with this than the UAP whistleblower story? These men took a known risk. Only 5 lives were lost. Barely anybody ever goes down in the ocean like this. We should not be spending anymore resources or money on this investigation.

  12. I see everything I need to make an accurate assessment of what happened. The viewport was dislodged during the implosion and not the cause. The titanium half sphere looks fine as does the ring suggesting that they did not fail and since we know that the sub did it leaves only the carbon fiber tube submitting to the intense pressure and buckling. This is not surprising considering that the tube was 2" thinner than was designed, carbon fiber works best under tension and not compression, and the effects of temperature and pressure cycling on the carbon fiber. It was a poor choice of material based on an incorrect perception of knowledge based on aerospace experience.

  13. The real tragedy is that there was so much money and resources spent on rich dead people when there are starving kids all over the world. The money could have been used to help people who actually needed it.

  14. I didn't realize it was the 13th trip down to the Titanic. That seems more than ironic. I guess it is an unlucky number.

  15. Wouldn’t these pieces be covered with ocean bottom, ocean plant life etc…? They look very clean

  16. None of it looks compressed.

  17. Rumored they've found human substance remains. Not bodies but some kind of remains 🤢

  18. All those big solid parts they got to salvage. Probably titanium. None are carbon fibre. Not surprising.

  19. The right submersible parts survived, tragic that the innovation failed resulting in the fatalities of four people. May they RIP.

  20. How didn't the crew Not die?

  21. As James Cameron said, the metal parts withstood the pressure. It is the carbon composit that crushed, which was the main pressure chember. The titanium nose and other metal rings are left in full and unbroken. But the pressure chamber (carbon composit) where the passengers were, is destroyed.

  22. 13th journey? Ummmm….don't people ever learn??? Maybe they should have sent the 13th one down by itself and took the 14th one. None of the passengers were Asian so the number 14 would have had no significance to them

  23. And they're gonna tell us it wasn't a freakin kracken attack… Yeah right!

  24. How were they able to physically grab the debris?? "From the start, it was noted, even if we find them, no one out there has 2 1/2 miles of cable ready to go…."
OK, so they got the submersible – ROV, to depth, but how could it snare pieces that big and successfully bring them up? it would've been like playing one of those coin operated / arcade games where we use the crane to hoist the treasure to the slot… Think about it, How often does that Crane lose it's grip? As compared to this – where the view and the Video that the operator see's is literally miles apart. The news is kind of glossing right over this aspect of the story, this has to be some sort of 'First Ever' Would like to know more about how you can wrap a cable around a piece of wreckage and recover.

  25. wouldlike to see x box controller

  26. Looks like it delaminated.

  27. The 13th trip no less

  28. What did the world spend on this? I feel for the 5 people, but that money could have been used to benefit thousands

  29. It will be interesting what remaining pieces of the carbon -fiber pressure vessel can be recovered. So far it looks like none of it is still attached to the titanium components.

  30. Forever know as the pancake expedition

  31. They says they recovered some body parts What happened to implode mist theory ???

  32. I think the victims' families should sue as well as the previoysly postponed patrons who TTIED to get their $ back!
    This is criminal!

  33. In this case, it is estimated that it is difficult to find the complete wreckage.

  34. They new it blew up the same day it went missing and hide it from the public…WHY?

  35. I hope they remove everything! Before some people will start going to see. I don’t why anyone will want to see a ghost

  36. Dude, How many times are you going to blink your eyes? Thats not normal, what is wrong with him?

  37. How was it recovered? I can't find that info anywhere. Last i heard, recovery of anything was thought to be out of the question considering the extreme depth of the wreckage.

  38. How does this take presidence over what putin is doing or found in Ukraine 🇺🇦!!!!!!!!!wheat food world peace equality!!!!

  39. Did the sharks eat them ??

  40. Looks like it just feel apart 🤔

  41. Not one scrap of Carbon Fiber seen remaining
