Hours after a South Carolina couple’s wedding, the bride was killed and the groom injured after police say a drunk driver struck the golf cart they were riding in. The driver is now charged with a DUI involving death and reckless homicide. NBC News’ Catie Beck reports.

Ive drivin drunk from chicago to Wisconsin border from metal concerts with someone i love i understand my focus is our lives intoxicated i understand the weight of my car and the velocity of an accident i dont wear seat belts its my body my choice ps my girl crashed into a concrete street pole while drunk and the car was delcared totaled amd everything feel on thr hood windshield demolished shes lucky the concrete light post did not hit her head and crack her skull she got out the accident with a mere what looked to be a paper cut on finger shes still alive i tell her shes lucky your head did not get crushed or you would have a cracked skull
They would’ve divorced anyway
Throw life at the driver who hit them.

Life in prison simple. She knew she was impaired and didn’t care so that to me is she doesn’t care about others and the possible damage she could of done so lock her away so her future is stopped to at least respect the horror she caused and the future she took away from these young lives

Don't worry, she will get 5-10 years in jail after this horrific incident. "Why?" you might ask… the answer is she's a woman. Woman's Law of mental confusion and/ or mental trauma will trump any responsibility she will incur upon her delicate little head. If it were a man that did this… he will never see the light of day! This makes my heart hurt. I feel so bad for everyone involved. There truly are no words. I feel like breathalyzers should be required to operate any vehicle at anytime, not just put in AFTER someone decides to drive drunk and get caught.
65miles/h is the same as 105km/h that woman drive while drunk is beyond word and sorry for the lost hope for the best for the victim

I stopped Drinking & Driving in April of 1998… & have not drink Alcohol in the last 29 Months.! Not holier than thou! But sorry for your loss..Price is to high to Pay for drinking & Driving.. Today I drink nothing Stronger than A Diet Coke..🙏🏾

It's really sad because those couples were supposed to spend their life together and maybe start a family of their own is now destroyed because one person stupidily drunk while driving. I really hope this suspect is stand trial and sentance to prison as punishment for what she had done.
