Shoigu said that the Kinzhal missile was used three times in Ukraine

The Russian Armed Forces used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile three times during Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said.

    Source: RIA Novosti

“It was used by us during a special military operation three times. And she showed her brilliant performance three times, ”Shoigu said in an interview with the Rossiya 1 TV channel (quoted by TASS).

According to the minister, no one else has such a missile: “both hypersonic, and with such speed, and with such penetrating capabilities.” The Kinzhal cannot be "neither detected nor intercepted," Shoigu claims.

The missile develops a speed of more than Mach 10 and is capable of changing its trajectory along the way both in vertical and horizontal planes, the Defense Minister added.

After the start of the military special operation, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced the use of the Kinzhal missile system. On March 18, rockets destroyed an underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the village of Delyatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In August, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that three MiG-31 aircraft equipped with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles were deployed to the Kaliningrad region as part of a strategic deterrent.

After that, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Poland, Wojciech Skurkiewicz, said that the country intends to adequately respond to the deployment of missiles, up to the implementation of Article 5. NATO Charter on Collective Defense.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov previously noted that in Ukraine, the Kinzhal was used for the first time in real combat conditions. According to him, the missile system "showed high efficiency in the destruction of well-protected objects."
