Wow these people are really misguided about her
I'm still at a loss to know what it is exactly that the sovereign does. I know there are ceremonial functions to lead as 'head of state' but the day to day government is really run by the prime minister. Clearly, the British people are okay with a privileged family living a life of essentially unemployed luxury. And, as others have pointed out, the monarchy is also built on the plundered wealth of colonized indigenous peoples. One can admire the Queen's personal qualities, of course; but never forget that she could afford to be magnanimous.
