So true that there is much more to educate the public about dementia. It is so bad for anyone suffering such a traumatic condition yet, equally difficult for family, friends, care givers and loved ones. I do not know any of the Willis family but as so many, I am so grateful to Bruce Willis for his sharing his talent to entertain and bring enjoyment to so many people. The best thing we, as his fans and reporters/photographers, can do is give them space and pray for them.

Yes, never judge or stare… my mother had Alzheimer’s for 12 years before her passing while she was at home for 6 1/2 years taking her in public was very difficult even though we wanted to take her for coffee and we did it’s like navigating a little two-year-old in her case would have to get that muffin and sit her down so we could go grab her a coffee and when you return to the table it was all crumbs everywhere but it was OK she got out and she was with us in her world she didn’t care. You had to hold her hand or she walked by a table and take their dinner plate. Have mercy on people who are Having a difficult time whether it’s an adult or perhaps a little autistic child who is having a fit that kind of thing. It’s not easy
