This should be FEMA's responsibilities as well as the railroad the railroad should be picking up most of this bill and they should be making sure that all the residents around the area including the passengers on that train are all treated like kings and queens not the way they're being treated now. Meanwhile, my 86 yr old mother is on Amtrak from Chicago since yesterday and there's no heat in her bedroom and the bed pull-down is broken. The steward threw a mattress on top of the broken bed and expected her to sleep there – she was up 4 X during the night pushing the mattress back onto the platform as it kept sliding off, and she slept in her clothes and her coat. They're not spending that money on upgrading the national railroad, that's for sure. Instead, they're contracting out all the rail service to private non-US companies while these crumbling track systems fail.
