Regulations are put in place to mitigate against repeats of past disasters.
Deregulation should happen only when the root cause is erased, not when someone decides it is too expensive.

People who work nights 7 days a week and they have zero sick days. While he’s sleeping in his bed at night these people work all night keeping America moving and he voted no sick days off. Pete sucks. Biden sucks. Obama sucks. And Obama put put forward legislation to make train companies update the brakes on their trains which would have mitigated the issues that caused this derailment. The train industry lobbied the Trump administration to remove those requirements and Trump removed them. I’m tired of industry influencing our govt to the detriment of American citizens. And I’m tired of MSM and our elected officials being disingenuous in discussing these types of issues. Making law decisions based on the profit motive instead of protecting American citizens, makes it our governments fault as much as the train industry.
