California eighth graders 3D print prosthetic hand for schoolmate



An eight-grade class at Almaden Country Day School in San Jose, California, was presented with an advanced opportunity to design and 3D print a prosthetic hand for a third grader, Trent DeSantis, who was born without a fully formed right hand. NBC News’ Maya Eaglin reports.

  5. My wife of over 25 years has one hand & would be mortified by such attention. This is almost on par with 3D printing the teacher a small plastic spoon for her to better monitor her intake to assist in her not being overweight.
