A woman in California was sentenced to probation and 100 hours of THC education after stabbing a man she was dating more than 100 times. Experts during the trial believe that the couple had been smoking high-potency marijuana when the drug caused the woman to slip into a psychotic state.

There has got to be more to this story. I’m thinking she had an underlying mental issue such as schizophrenia or bipolar and maybe the relaxation from the THC activated what was already within her. I also think their might have been problems in their relationship too. Not victim blaming.
I hope and pray that the father gets some kind of justice he desperately needed, after losing his wife Michelle and son Chad. Is there some kind of Gofund him we can help him with to give him more resources to find justice?

This is ABSOLUTE BS!!! High Concentrated Marijuana does not do this or unlimited amounts of marijuana at the most might make you nauseous or really sleepy but it DOES NOT create psychosis.!!! This stupid broad was doing something else or has some level of mental disability. She needs to see a psychotherapist but blaming pot for her doings is just plain OUTRAGEOUS and IGNORANT!! And of course she's the right color to get ONLY two years probation. Totally expected regardless of the state.

This has nothing to do with marijauna and everything to do with the it being suggested to be scheduled as a class 3.
She was "spared" from prison? It's more like acting on some officials' behalf with promises to keep her out of prison.
They make too much money with marijuana as a schedule 1 drug, they don't want it to be schedule 3. This is the mkst obvious and fake set up against marijuana I've seen.

What a joke! "Psychotic" YES, but not from THC; she murdered him and deserves prison for it, she stabbed him over 100 times! Definitely lifelong psych ward lockup at the very least! What an outrage and travesty of justice!!

0:47 Marijuana does NOT cause psychosis. High-potency causes giggles; incoordination, silliness. (Unless some other drug was mixed in; no mention of that, though). She is getting away with murder.
I find it infuriating that I keep reading comments that basically say “Marijuana doesn’t do this!” I can’t speak to it making you so delirious that it’ll make you commit murder, but I can speak to causing psychosis. THC is a mild hallucinogen, and there are people out there who just, for one reason or another, can’t handle its effect.
Another note, the judge wasn’t the one who arbitrarily decided this punishment. The DA’s Office agreed that the murder charge should be downgraded to Involuntary Manslaughter. We can debate whether or not she should have suffered prison (I would argue it’d be pretty petty and pointless with the DA stipulating that she didn’t have control over her actions), but demanding the disbarment over the judge using his discretion in a case where it wasn’t politically expedient is just going to send us backwards as a society.
