The very last part of the 14th Amendment states: Section 5 The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
No where is the President's authority to invoke anything stated in this post Civil War era amendment.
He'll probably have no choice but to use it as the GOP said its their goal to tank the economy to make Biden look bad.
What do you mean CAN he use the 14th Amendment? The Constitution says we will not default on our debts. To let a default happen is to break a Constitutional Law. What happens if you ignore a Constitutional Law? Do we cherry pick what Constitutional Laws we like and don't like? The 14th Amendment says we should not question it. So why are we questioning it? You can either let the entire combined minds of DC tell you about the 14th Amendment or you can ask a 4 year old if the 14th Amendment means what it says, straight-forward and self-evident. Duh!
