Sub imploded. Very sad and hopefully regulations come from this for future adventurers to avoid anymore loss of life. RIP to these poor souls
The pressure hull was made out of carbon fiber, the hatch was glued on to it. Carbon fiber when put through extreme pressure will shatter like glass. Carbon fiber is a fabric material embed in a epoxy resin. Epoxy resin will micro fracture when subject to loads. Using these materials it this way created a massive failure point. It was only a matter of time.
