Many idiots wearing masks off the nose. The virus is shed from the nose. Also, fabric is not safe. The warm moisture from the breath collects in front of the nose n mouth and is a magnet for viruses. Im not Health expert, but my opinion wearing a mask could damage a person's immune system by preventing their body from fighting off bacteria and viruses in public every day environments. People who are positive/ think they're positive Shouldn't where masks either they should just STAY HOME in a well ventilated area that's the best thing they can do… If COVID-19 positive people wear masks they'll constantly be breathing in the same air… This will more than likely make reproduction of the virus more rapid and possibly increase the chances of having a severe or fatal outcome! Its common sense…when people get sick the body coughs to try to clear the virus from the lungs wearing a mask prevents the lungs from getting fresh air making a great environment for viral growth….im surprised how many are recomending. believing, and following these guidelines…its almost like we're being encouraged/guided to put our health at risk and increase the severity of this disease…xD lol I hope I'm not the only 1 that sees what's going on!
CDC needs to make it CLEAR to all that ANYONE working with the elderly patients or patients with special needs or medically fragile patients should NOT BE USING CLOTH MASKS as they don't protect the patient. Recall that a patient who DOES NOT have covid is at risk FROM THE HEALTHCARE workers coming into their shifts working with them. It's not the other way around.

What I don't hear is the information that mishandeling the masks 'after' use can be just as risky as not using them at all. Using masks 'correctly' and then disposing or cleaning them 'properly' is critically important.

Every day almost the CDCs recommendations flip flop. Being in the hospital I have come to the realization that said recommendations have nothing to do with what is actual best practice and simply evolve to what is most practical at the time. 2 weeks ago we were told our odds of catching covid went up if we constantly wore a mask because that warm and humidified area you continue rebreathing is perfect breeding ground for the virus to multiply. Now it seems to be what they want for the world. The media pressure has all agencies tied to this spiraling. If you think a rolled up bandana is really stopping virus at 0.125 micron size and this recommendation isnt mostly for comfort… well… at least people wont bark at you for a sniffle anymore… maybe.
