Prosecutors in the double murder trial of Alex Murdaugh are attempting to use cellphone video to prove that the prominent South Carolina attorney killed his wife and son, while Murdaugh has pleaded not guilty and continues to maintain his innocence. We KNOW he had no trouble hiring someone to shoot himself and make it look like a robbery or revenge killing. Cousin Eddie knows more than he's talking about (and most of his talk is BS). Maybe Alex hired someone to shoot Maggie but Paul was there. Or hired someone to shoot Paul and Maggie was there. He can't use that as a defense because then he's guilty of the hiring of the hit man. Either he did it and cleaned up afterwards and ditched the evidence (including Maggie's phone) or he hired it out and something went wrong. He seems a lot less upset about his wife's death than he does about Paul. Someone needs to sit down with Buster and tell him 'this is never going away, forget law school, no one will ever hire you in that capacity, stop talking to your father in jail, change your name, your hair color and leave the country permanently…'

When he describes a shotgun to the first interviewer and then showed up at the scene with the rifle he described I knew he did it. I don't quite know why he would want them to focus on that particular shotgun but to me that was the beginning of believing he did it
Murdaugh might have killed his son because the boating accident that Paul was involved in was the start of all of Alex’s troubles, as he might have seen it. I’m sure he had some resentment towards his wife – he used an assault rifle on her. Wasn’t Maggie independently wealthy, didn’t she own the property? He shot both of them several times.

ok….alex shot them, had a change of clothes in his car, hosed himself off at the kennel, bagged his clothes, took off and dumped the evidence along his way to see his mommy…..made all those calls for his alibi, and came back to the crime scene to carry out the rest of his plan….nothing but crocodile tears, lies and bullshite…..

The motive doesn’t matter. It isn’t necessary for the prosecution. It isn’t sufficient to convict. The evidence is all that matters.
How did Paul's phone end up sitting on his rear-end? Someone would have had to put it there unless it slipped out of his back pocket….. I guess?
