I. Hi there everyone! II. I tot agree with some the points you raised: No need to beg SA, Iran and Venezuela for oil that we've at home, or what we can produce at home. However, if I want to play a devil advocate, I'll remind that for his first trip, Pr Trump did visit SA. He did ask to them to increase their oil production while in the same time he was launching US energy renaissance. Nevertheless, the context is different. Today, Venezuela and Iran are under the control of Russia. Even SA might have strategic connexion with Russia. Therefore, relying on them for oil in the context where Russia is determined to accelerate its Post-west era agenda is like agreeing to affect US global leadership and sustained existence of the whole west.
