Zuckerberg and I are laughing all the way to the bank. META and the stock market confirmed what some of us guessed would happen – they reported a big jump in ad revenues and so their stock soared. If you bought some META shares today you will have a bunch more money tomorrow because it took off in the aftermarket. The reason their ad revenues jumped? X (Twitter) and Truth Social don't moderate so advertisers have moved over to META because they do not want their ads featured on the same screen as insults, threats, and hatred. Musk and Trump must get that but for their own reasons they don't seem to care and on their platforms, kids can read all kinds of rage and vilifications.

This is absolutely insane by congress wanting these restrictions 🤦♂️. It's just unrealistic. Look The fact of the matter is good things happen in the world and bad things happen. What these Social companies are doing is providing a balance. Pedophiles are Pedophiles if there was no social media, they would figure out a different way. What I do think one of the major problems is tho is that for younger kids i feel like it enabling them to learn about themselves quicker but, that's not necessarily a bad thing if a kid has mental health issues it's better to catch it sooner then later to fix it.

YES! Ban TikTok and other addictive data collecting apps from children AND adults. But MORE IMPORTANTLY, GET THE CHILDREN OFF OF THE PERSONAL DEVICE IN THE FIRST PLACE! They do not need them! Be a parent! Occupy the attention of the child YOU had. Don't leave their attention at the hands of devices. I am 52 years old and i have a FLIP PHONE. I feel NO emotional connection to TikTok, Facebook, X, MySpace, NONE OF IT. My only guilty pleasure is watching (from all outlets) on Youtube on my laptop computer. I am not carrying a touchscreen computer around in my pocket all day like the rest of the blind lemmings out there. STOP DESTROYING CHILDREN WITH THE DEVICE! You people are senseless! TAKE AWAY THE DEVICE AND THEY WONT HAVE THE APP! The device is not necessary for children's success. Only to take the place of the lazy parent!
