It seems silly that representatives of the minority party would even have a vote for who the majority leader should be. How does that not open up Congress to even more silly games and intentional sabotage? They'll vote against any majority leader if only just to make the majority party look bad. If your effort to remove your party's leader relies on all the votes from the other party — it suggests that your effort is fundamentally flawed.
