Chaos erupted as Kenya’s election commission announced William Ruto as the winner of the country’s presidential election with a wafer-thin victory. Four members of the election commission, including its deputy chairperson, rejected the results citing the “opaque nature” of the general election.

Just to provide context: This was a 20 minute scaffle right before the head of the electoral commission could announce the final presidential results. Understandably in an election where there was a 233,00 vote margin between the 1st and the 2nd pres. candidate and with 14 million votes at stake – it is going to be hotly contested! Fortunately the country is totally at peace and business is back to normal. No cause for panic or alarm. Cheers.
