I'm a business owner in Florida. Employee retention is the number one, most difficult challenge. This said, I pay the highest hourly wage of all my competitors within a 100 mile radius. Still, workers don't show up. People have given up. The "average" pay rate has not increased one penny since 2019 while the cost of living has increased, on average, 30% since 2019.
