Falling birth rates is the economy self correcting for a too low capital labour ratio to provide a high enough average real wage to raise a family. Immigration creates the market failure as it is unaffected by your nations ARW but still raises labour growth, America is turning into a large mincing machine for genetic lines where the majority come to dye while the minority sit at the top interbreeding because they already own all the land, property & loans while ARW is too low to make them worth selling to anyone.
