Here lies the problem, US leaders/politicians know nothing about Science, they all have business or law degrees. Where as China's leaders, a lot of them have science/engineering degrees. Xi himself has a Chemical Engineering degree. Chinese leaders know how important science is, US politicians do not. In many ways, China is a technocracy. If you got a bunch of nerds to run America, like they do with Apple or Google, you will have a much smarter, more competent government, especially in the 21st century where science and technology are so crucial. American leaders today though, are so ignorant about all of this, they much later continue with the status quo. You think the leaders we have today are smart enough to study science or engineering, yeah right.
