China buying farmland excuse isn't even valid. China does not have a food security issue. China is the 3rd largest food exporter. There's a stat called "Real Population Density Based on Food Growing Capacity", and China is better off than most Western European countries. The whole issue of food security I think is propagated by the CCP as a pretense
