The White House said that a small number of documents marked classified were found in a locked closet in office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Garland referred the discovery of potentially classified documents to the U.S. Attorney in Chicago, a holdover from the Trump administration, according to a source familiar with the matter.
