I fell terrible for all of the families that have to deal with this tragedy but the fact that this cop fired one round to end the threat right after the guy did a mag dump on him is impressive. If he stays on the force he needs a promotion

There are about 660,000 police officers in the US and in 2021 there was 649 deaths, 467 of which were from Covid. 50 cops were killed from gunfire this year.
There are about 970,000 construction laborers in the US and in 2021 they had 1,282 work related fatalities. God bless our construction workers putting their lives on the line for our communities, they do some of the hardest labor in the country often thanklessly and with low pay o7

The video would have been more cinematic if the ambush had happened when they were marching.
Need more guns
I recently moved out of Bristol. The police there have always been professional and courteous. The injured officer was the school resource officer at my daughters k-8 school. He was always respectable.
Gee…an automatic weapon in the hands of untrained civilian using it against law enforcement officers. This is why we need to rethink gun laws.
Clearly, we need more guns.
