Its not just oil. There a huge fertilizer shortage, and if you farm wheat, the price of wheat grain has gone up too. Smaller farms are having a really hard time.

It's time to empower American farmers. We import more food into America then we grow here ourselves. America used to be a net exporter of food Goods. Just like we were a net exporter of energy.
The same holds true for civil construction. Contrary to what Washington thinks our equipment doesn't run on fairy dust, or sunflower seeds. Diesel – and lots of it! 5, 10, 12gallons per hour depending on the piece of equipment. The next time you drive by a job site add up the machines you see running then multiply that by 7gallons, then multiple that figure by $4.00 per gallon, that is the price of fuel per hour, then multiply that by 8hrs. And Biden wants to do all these infrastructure projects without getting a handle on fuel prices. In the construction industry we have had a shortage of qualified operators for over a decade now. It takes years of experience to become productive on a piece of equipment. This administrations answer is we will train people. We are about to spend a whole lot of tax money for nothing. If you look at the targeted goals of build back better the miles of road, broadband cable etc. And then look at the money allocated it's a joke. It was unrealistic when it was first proposed and with hyperinflation now you would actually think someone with severe mental disabilities came up with the cost estimates. For the amount of work, they are proposing they are underbudget in the billions.
This Administration is in fairy land on how to run a country!
