You have to give it to the cougar, an 8 year old will feed a family of 4 for about a week. 😂
Ita a miriclé
Forest, Oceans etc have all kinds of wild life living there because its their home and they are looking to eat to survive. When we humans encroach in their space were we really shouldn't be this type of thing would be expected. Just because its a park doesn't mean something isn't living there. Animals do not know to leave humans alone but the cougar only seen a meal plain and simple. 😮
In the Rocky Mountains, a male cougar can range over 300 miles in one year and females about half that.
Never run from a cougar! Make yourself appear big and ready to "take it on!" Be aggressive in voice and actions!
That cat will back down. It will see you as to risky and to much energy to expend on a potential meal.
Speaking from experience, more than once.
We had 2 mountain lions attack our horses a couple of weeks back.
Heck, we live in city limits, and my grandson plays by the creek they came up in.
I posted the video on my channel.
You can actually see them stalking my horse's from both sides.
Even if they had taken one of my younger horses(2 mustangs), my older horses would have fought for them,I believe, to the death.
Regardless of what breed a horse is, they are a family and will protect their own, just saying.
A few years back, 2 pit bulls attacked my big paint and my mare, which was pregnant at the time.
Needless to say, the 2 horses worked as a team.
Hiawatha, my paint horse, took on one dog, and Sasha took on the one that attacked her.
The pit lunged at her throat,I know because she had scratches on her neck.
She made a 360, and when she made the complete circle, she started stomping the dog. The dog never had a chance.
Then my paint with his teeth grabbed the second dog threw him to the ground, and it was all over for the second dog.
BUT BIG CATS ARE ANOTHER STORY, and I understand that 2 can take down a smaller one, but as a family, they are out numbered.
I have a responsibility to make sure my horses are safe and, idc if the cats are protected, SO ARE MY HORSES,PROTECTED BY ME,just saying.
There are literally signs all over the place letting u know of the dangers of wildlife
Until it said 8 year old I thought it was a video about megyn Kelly
Oh no! Another poor human almost dies. Hope the cougar stays hidden
Campers need to do a better job of storing their food and protecting themselves from natural predators. When one goes to the wilderness one needs some protection.
Man is encroaching on their territories more and more every day, it's no wonder they attack. I'm glad the boy is o.k. but please don't punish the cougar for doing what comes natural to it.
a real cougar or colleen ballinger?
Sure, and Carlee Russell was really abducted.
Global warming, animals hunting humans. Looks like we're getting what we deserve.
no weapon? not even bear maze? totally irresponsible! the stupid mother should've stayed home. btw, where was the father?
Glad the boy is okay, but the cougar was only doing what cougars do. Going into the wilderness is not a risk-free enterprise. Ir's not Disneyland.
And how will they know if they have the right one? I'm sure there is a good possibility that there could be more than one around. I don't think it's right that they should be targeting the cougar. Could be a young one that hasn't learned to leave humans alone, and let's face it, people invade their territory and home constantly and have shrunk those so much that there will be conflicts.
No don't euthanize the Cougar! The family was out in the Cougar's home. The humans are at fault not the Cougar.
Why are they hunting the cougar? Wilderness areas are not a Walt Disney attraction. You swim at Miami Beach and a shark takes your leg, nobody blames the shark. Nobody hunts the shark except in that movie. Reminds me of the couple who set their baby on the railing over a hot spring in Yellowstone then pretended to be surprised when it fell in. I don't believe anyone is actually that stupid, but this is America, so who knows?
These old ladies crazy now days.
This is your first and lady warning… DO NOT UNALIVE GOD'S CREATURE'S. It's unfortunate the child got hurt but parents responsibility to keep an eye on their child and keep them safe. There are more ways to skin a cat. How you going to UNALIVE God's creature when YOU'RE IN THEIR SPACE/HOME/HABITAT…C'mon now! There will be severe and swift consequences if you do…
"Don't have to be so exciting, Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun" – Cougar
Maverick can talk cougar down, no problem.
I'm so happy that this little guy is OK & I'm so glad too, that the Mom quick thinking is what saved him…BUT, DO NOT DESTROY THE ANIMAL…this is his home & when we camp and backpack in wild areas, we should expect that this can happen and take precautions against it…this Mom did the perfect thing and scared it off, thank God…but, this animal doesn't deserved to be destroyed!!
😢The sign says you're in Cougar Country!!! Stupid humans. That animal should not be killed for simply being in its own habitat and doing what comes natural. Just like humans don't want to be killed in their own homes. I have no sympathy for people who get attacked by animals who are in their own habitat be it land or sea period.
Way to go Mom! Thank GOD!
LEAVE THESE ANIMALS ALONE, PEOPLE ARE THE PROBLEM THEY VENTURE INTO THE HABITAT OF WILDLIFE THAN WHEN THE WILDLIFE REACTS , PEOPLE GET HURT.
STAY AWAY FROM FORESTED HABITAT AREAS. GO TO THE BEACH, GO TO AMUSEMENT PARKS, PEOPLE GO TO YELLOWSTONE IGNORE WARNINGS WANT PICS AND THAN ANIMALS ARE PUT DOWN FOR IGNORANT IMBECILIC MORONS.
THE SOLUTION IS PUT THE MORONS DOWN WITH EUTHANASIA ❤❤❤❤❤.
Were they going to euthanize the cougar for attacking a dog? I really hope that was not the plan
Imagine thinking you are getting a yummy baby dear, but you end up with a yucky mouthful of human.
These older women are out of control now adays
It seems animals have grown tired of us.
Your in their home.
maybe, not your, national parks, it would be easy to set up grounds to enjoy the beauty much like it is, but maybe dont provide access to all of it. Probably more theirs than yours.
The cougars i've seen are usually at the mall and drinking starbucks
