  1. Never more than $50 out of pocket??? Wtf

  2. This is called indirect service. Other professions charge clients for emails and text messages if it needs professional opinion.

  3. Why not just add an MA or CNA to the team that is also cross trained in registration to handle these messages? They could just forward the messages specific to the doctor to the doctor.

  4. YES, charge away, you are using a physician's expertise and personal (unprotected) time for this

  5. Had to pay a lawyer for answering messages, why not a Dr?

  6. if one having toooomany questions to ask toooo frequently.may probably go to enroll to medical course better😅

  7. I probably wouldn’t feel so strongly about this before I worked with a doctor who spent countless hours working through lunch and staying late to answer the endless questions from patients. I am so supportive of this.

  8. I always assumed that phone calls, emails and phone calls are being billed. Why wouldn't they be? Lawyers get to charge by the hour. Believe me it's only fair.

  9. It’s a good thing that really old people don’t know how to utilize a computer because if they did, this would be way worse.

I’d expect this to be a real serious cause for concern in about 10 years.

  10. "CouLd you go in bed with me ?" 😊

  11. My daughter hates it when I come to me and tell him I Google something

  12. It can take as long as 3 months to get an appointment with my internist, 6 months for a specialist.

  13. I’m not a doctor, but I understand. I own a video game business and had to turn off my phone from receiving phone calls because people would want to host an ENTIRE phone call over something they could’ve just text. Now customers can only text, not call me. My time is way too valuable and expensive.

  14. I can't talk to my doctor unless I'm lucky enough to get an appointment in the next month.

  15. shoot i need to start charging people for talking to me then lol

  16. Doctors in the U.S. are only interested in taking your money and moving on to the next person to take their money. The moment they walk out the door of your exam room, they've forgotten all about you and your problems. If doctors took less patients, and actually focused on helping them – it would be better for the patient. Sadly, in the U.S. greed is what matters most – that's why it's in the state of decay it is in.

  17. I would never give my email or my phone number to my patients. Ever.

  18. This used to be part of the physicians nurses job confused why its not still.

  19. If it is related to issue seen in the office and billed…should be free. For people trying to get out of paying for an appointment and ask for medical advice on new issue they should be seen in the office. Don't encourage patients to get medical advice by email.

  20. yea i talk to my lawyer for like 20 minutes and i get a $400 dollar bill. I think if you are taking someone's time then you should be charged.

  21. George. Santos. Is. Flying. Balloon 🎈.

  22. Probably does, i skipped most telehealth over the last few years.

  23. Could voting for democrats cost you $$$$ ……YES!

  24. I'm 60 years old and pay $930 a month just for myself on health insurance… it brings me great stress and anxiety monthly.

  25. Health care in usa is expensive

  26. I wish I had PLATINUM health insurance like the corrupt politicians voted for themselves… instead of my Bronze.

  27. Ultimately you are paying for it one way or another. People get upset about airlines charging for peanuts but if there is no point ot sale charge then you are paying for peanuts whether you eat them or not. Nothing is free.
