The International Court of Justice said Israel must “take all measures within its power” to prevent genocide in its war against Hamas in Gaza. But the court stopped short of ordering an immediate cease-fire as South Africa had requested. The ruling comes as CIA Director William Burns will meet with the head of Israel’s Mossad and Qatar’s prime minister to try to reach a deal to secure the release of the hostages held by Hamas. A misleading subtitle 'Court of Justice orders Israel to do MORE to prevent Gaza killings.' The actual ruling doesn't appear to include such a demand. It only orders Israel to prevent genocide, which is what Israel appears to have done, anyway. Very unprofessional pro-HAMAS propaganda by the NBC.

There are just too many legal twists and turns in this Israel — South Africa case in the Hague — none of which make any sense. Perhaps if Russia bombed a Ukrainian city causing 70,000 dead (not the partial 25,000 we are fed by western media), Russia can say "It was not genocide — we were just copying Israel." See how quickly the West would turn on Russia and force an instant, same day ruling, that the ICJ ruled that Russia was complicit in genocide, caused wilful genocide, and attacked defenceless civilians, in Odessa. There would be none of this stifling legal diversionary speak taking days to get through, trying everyone's patience to the point of suicide. Heavy sanctions including a NATO attack on Russia would begin within the week. True? It is clear that the pro-Israel US has a hand in the outcome of this case.
Israel is laughing and spits in the face of the ICJ decision. They will simply ignore it and carry on with the genocide. The genocide can be stopped in 2 ways: (1) Yemen's total blockade of Israeli ports; (2) Use of Iranian ballistic missiles.
In this case, only force will break the impasse, as the ICJ is simply a paper tiger which spends days and weeks toying with confusing verbiage which does not address the 70,000 Palestinian casualties, and has no real clout! Unfortunately, the ICJ Courts and all their pieces of paper being pushed around, have failed the Palestinians, and violence will have to decide the outcome.
