Texas Governor Greg Abbott is under fire for allegedly ordering his government to investigate the families of transgender kids. NBC News Zinhle Essamuah reports on the court hearing in the lawsuit by one of those families and how dozens of businesses are blasting the decision.

Serious question. Why is it that minors should be treated with drugs which cause permanent effects to their bodies? Something about this doesn’t seem like it’s grounded in good medical science. Especially given that the detransition rate is spiking at alarming levels. Shouldn’t we try to find other ways to help kids who are experiencing distress about their gender, which do not involve transitioning?
They should all be in jail.

All of this should be left up to an endocrinologist with a psychologist referral . Doctors that specialize in hormones and how they change/evolve through out childhood. There should be a way for them to make a report if they believe it's more the parents instance then the child's and THEN someone can step in to block it. If the PROFESSIONALS don't see a problem, why should politicians? Say in your lane guys.
