It wasn't our style of cricket that lost the Ashes,it was Stokes and Bairstow,we won the 3rd Test on merit,and but for the rain,would have almost certainly won the 4th.We were the better side !
Australia missed few tricks in this series. Tall opener renshaw could be the answer of broad's typical left hander english length. Left arm spinner ashton agar could be the answer of new english batters' aggression when lyon is injured, since we all know typically english batters are weak against quality left arm spin. Even adam zampa could be effective since this english team wants to play t20. If you stop their run flow they will be automatically finished. Let their weak bodied Wood bowl 40-50 over. He will automatically retired himself hurt. 😜😁🤣🤣

I think that Pat deserves more respect for the way he’s carried himself I say this because of the so called Bairstow incident ( in my eyes that was Stokes protecting himself & McCullum from criticism over Bazzball ) considering his hypocrisy over the run out of Bairstow who acted like a muppet & got what he deserved! I think that they (Poms got into Australians heads ) I mean Questioning Australia’s Spirit of the game? When Broad questioned the umpire! Over his front foot ! Also been given out & arguments with umpires!remember that catch by Starc that was given not out when he was but the Aussies just got on with it!!! We won the Ashes well done boys !!!
One series too far for Jimmy Anderson, Two Tests too few for Chris Woakes, Three Tests too many for Ollie Robinson, Four Tests too many for Jonny Bairstow behind the stumps, and 5 out of 10 for the selectors. That's why they were 2 down and up against it. The declaration in the first Test, non-declaration in the last Test, the Bairstow run-out incident all minor irrelevancies and distractions in the overall scheme of things.

Patty is great cricketer BUT not an experienced or tactically astute captain. He missed many things which should have happened in this series, esp this test and the team has suffered as a result. I never liked a bowler as our captain and still don’t. I think CA have to seriously consider replacing him as our captain.

Rain God saved Australia eventually. Although aussies have retained the Ashes but England won by threatening kangaroos so much that aussies were running scared at old trafford. Another important thing is that the Bazball has created a buzz and a renewed interest in the longer format of the game of cricket. In fact, Bazball is the way to go so as to spice up the Test cricket. Though it is needless yet vital to mention that England did not lose first two tests due to Bazball, but they lost it due to dropped catches.

I really think both Pat & Australia would be better off were Pat not Captain. I don't blame all of Australia's tactical issues on Pat but I don't think he has the game sense of Australia's better captains & I think the load might be mpacting his bowling also.

Cummins is a soild guy…talented and even minded…congrats to aussies..they deserves it the way they played the first two test showed their character…clearly the absence of nathan lyon was very much visible in the field…england also played solidly in this series..but aussies won more sessions and hence won the first two…Ashes is one of the best rivalry and series…always exciting…kudos to both the team

Everyone asking does it feel like a failure you haven’t won the ashes- no shitstick – if we draw or win the next test we have won the ashes- ie. Massive favourites to win the ashes.
Pat Cummins is one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time(he will get there in terms of purely statistics in 3 or 4 years) and a nice man too but he is a defensive captain.I can understand if he was keeping deep square leg fielder only for Mitchell Starc because he has tendency to bowl leg stump half volleys again and again but Cummins kept both deep point and deep square leg for all bowlers right from start which was baffling.
The weakest captain Australia has had in a long time. When things got tough his weakness showed big time. If England could catch Australia would not even had won the first 2 tests.
Remember, they have already played five tests ( India) so the team is no where near as fresh as England is.
They almost scored 600…..but Pat is happy with his performance…OMG
